Lost earphones help please?

ok i was walking to work today and i took my iphone and apple in ear headphones with me, i made sure i put them in my pocket when i left my room, and then when i got to work they were gone! i then thought i must of left them home and when i got home i couldnt find them! any recommendations as to where they were, im pretty sure they couldnt of fell out of my pocket cos i had them in there triangular case thing and i would of heard them fall out, and besides my iphone was popping out more probably. so help please?
