Yahoo messenger proxies?

I use to be able to sign in on my laptop in yahoo IM then one time i tried to sign in and it ask me to set up my proxies. You all know the choices- no proxies/use proxies/firewall with no proxies and /n o network detection. please dont just tell me to use no proxies or one of the other choices i have tried all four and still cant sign in i go to my other pc and i can sign right in. I have had 2 different interent providers and they both work but just not on my laptop. I can go to yahoo.com to the messenger web page and sign right in but i cant sign in under the messenger icon. the web page Im is much different than the messenger IM chatting page. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT PLEASE this sucks two months with no IM im going nuts thanks
