World of Warcraft newbie question -?

I'm new to the game, and my character is a Mage. I was walking along a road (minding my own business) when a mangy wolf (Level 5?) attacked and killed me. Now he is walking around my corpse. Every time I resurrect, he kills me again - I have very little power right now, and pathetic weapons. I can't even use the hearthstone, because each attack interupts the spell. How can I get away from the wolf?
