Can a television be converted from og to digital without using a converter box?

Is there anything that can be done inside, electronically? I have an old portable set, and would find it extremely annoying to have to carry a converter around with me. It worked fine before the LOVELY Federal Communications Commission decided og was obsolete, and I'd like to be able to use it again.

My rear drum brakes are making a rubbing noise?

I have a 95 Honda Civic with drums in the rear. Today I replaced 3 of the lug studs because they were in need of replacement so I removed the wheel, drum, and hub to get that piece off which holds the wheel studs. After I put it all back together I backed out of my driveway and that wheel was making a rubbing noise, no grinding or squealing just a wob wob wob type of noise is the best way to explain it. Almost like I had a flat but I don't so I'm hoping something was just put on a little off and its an easy fix, hopefully nothing is bent..

Crackling Sound Problem on my Computer?

Hey all, I've had this problem with my computer lately where, after a certain amount of time, the sound will start to crackle and pop. This only happens every half hour, and when it happens, I just open up my audio control panel and switch it to a different setting and back, and everything is fine. This never happened when I had a USB headset, only when I have to plug into the jacks in the back. I'm not using a soundcard, just the Asus M2NSLI motherboard. Can anyone help me out?

I am frequently (last year I got it like 3-4 times) catching strep throat and always have to be taking antibiotics! Having been a "street cop" for 22 of the 30 years I spent in law enforcment, I can tell you emphatically that officers do use profanity (they are human after all) and often times use profanity intentionally for its effect. As far as legality, I serious doubt there is any law in the UK that prohibits any citizen, including the police, from actually using the type of profanity you described; however, all police departments have what is called a "code of conduct" which likely prohibits an officer acting in a way that is "unbecoming" or "unprofessional" (whatever that may mean). I know from personal experience that using profanity or swearing isn't always considered unbecoming or unprofessional. It all depends on the cirstances. Many times I used profanity to get somebody's attention and let them know I wasn't f---ing around. Get the picture? Of course this was always done at the risk of receiving a citizen's complaint. But I never knew or heard of an officer getting more than an informal reprimand for language. Most often, the officer explained the situation and cirstances and the supervisor agreed that the profanity was acceptable. Given the situation you described above, as a supervisor I would not hold that officer accountable or at fault for using the term you described. I can guarantee you that if there is one situation where officers are given great latitude, by both supervisors and the courts, it is when they have a person in custody or are in the process of arrest, and a third party gives the appearance of interfering in any manner, even if it is simply verbal in nature. It appeared the officer you described was rather successful with the use of one word, which is why it happens. Hope this helped.

Im actually 19 years old too, and when i was 17 i became pregnat and was unable to support the baby so i had to have an abortion. when i had following check ups they discovered i had endomitriosis too. you can become unfertile if you have it or if you do become pregnat the baby will be born in the fallopian tubes, there is a chance! but you have to go to your gynocologist and there is a surgery you can have to heal it. you should talk to your gyno because im in the process of finding out what the surgery is exactly, i know they remove scar tissues.

They even have a policy where you can't buy scopes or binoculars under the age of 18. My english mastiff with temper issues?

I have an English mastiff who is a little over 2 yrs old, a big boy, about 210 pounds, and when we got him (he was 2 months) my parents were very good with taking him to the dog park every weekend (where there are tons of dogs always there to socialize with) and taking him on walks, in the car, and to the dog store so he could be well socialize and a pleasant dog as he got older. But the weird thing is he never became a pleasant dog. For over the last year of having him whenever he goes out, even in the car, he will bark viciously at anything suspicious to him (such as people in certain colors, or anyone I guess that looks at him funny or something) and we can't take him to the park anymore because he will be vicious to dogs who do not provoke him at all, he will just randomly antagonize a dog to the point where we HAVE to leave because he is so big people get freaked out he acts that way. At home he is a gentle giant, he doesn't even bark that crazily when new visitors come over

There all very good books, romeo and juliet well, ill be honest is a pain in the *** to get threw but is still good when your done. The odyssey by homer is good but slow and Frankenstein I liked very much. I suggest going to like spark notes for a book review and notes on every chapter because they are tough book ever for a high school student.

I don't think it's a good idea taking babies abroad. The heat for one thing is too much for them. It will put him/her totally out of routine too. I was once on a flight and a baby's eardrum was burst as we came in to land. If you get a lousy engineer on a plane that doesn't control the air pressure going up and coming down, it crucifies the ears.

Wow, thats really hard :( If he's unhappy in Rochester and would truly like to go to NYC for the school and the place he should definitely transfer. However, you being there should be like an "added bonus." I feel like if you asked him to move down to NYC you're going to be worried all the time if he's doing too much and as you put it--what sacrifices should be made? That might cause unwanted tensions and I wouldnt want you to have to deal with that on top of the usual college stuff. Also, you'll always have him to come home to during break:) and if theres a will there's a way!! Long distance is hard stuff, but I do have friends that have boyfriends at different schools and are able to work things out. I guess the bottom line is just make sure that both of you are getting the most out of college and taking all the opportunities given to you--doing that shows how much you care. hope this helps :)
